Chef Phil is born and raised in St Pete and went to culinary school Art Institute of Tampa. Since graduation he’s had a career in the area. Among some local favorites he’s worked at:
- Parkshore Grille
- Bella Brava
At Bella Brava he worked under Chef Mario Maggi. In June 2015 he started as a head chef at Isabelle’s.
With his classical training he creates the southern inspired menu with inspiration from Cajun to old family recipes.
Chef Phill’s main inspirational chefs are:
- Justin Wilson – Cajun cooking show host and author of 7 Cajun cookbooks
- Brack May – Executive chef of Green Tomato Productions a catering and consulting company
- Dylan Farley Crust – Executive Chef and Operator of Amigos Cantina, Schuylerville NY
