I think everyone loves Italian food. Fresh pasta, fresh meat (fish, chicken, steak), fresh cheeses — oh, and delicious wine. Did we mention that they lead the world in wine production? And then, of course, you have the delicious Italian desserts and gelato.
There’s a reason Italy is considered the world’s foremost food destination. If you can’t make it over to Italy for a grand tour of their jawdropping cuisine, check out Mazzarro’s Italian Market. The market boasts delicious Italian food, wine, and more! It’s definitely worth a visit.
Mazzarro’s deli contains a variety of your favorite Italian dishes: soups, sandwiches, salads, antipasta, and a variety of your favorite Italian meats: capicola, coppa, Genoa ham, mortadella, pancetta, San Daniele prosciutto, and more. Eat in or take out — just don’t miss out!
Bakery & Gelato
The bakery bakes fresh bread and desserts every day. In additional to daily specials and seasonal breads, try some of Mazzarro’s favorites: Italian, Semolina, Tuscan, Ciabatta, Pugliese, Focaccia, and Rosemary.
And while bread is amazing, let’s be honest: the desserts and gelato are probably a bigger selling point. Mazzarro’s offers a wide variety of desserts, from tiramisu, cupcakes, cannolis, and more than 30 different types of cookies, including homemade biscotti.
The sumptuous gelato is made fresh every day, and utilizes the highest quality ingredients. Grab one and eat as you shop!
Mazzarro’s offers more than 300 cheese from all over the world, but with a special focus on Italy. Making it extra special, most of the cheeses come from small farms and aren’t available in grocery stores. An exception is the mozzarella, which is actually made fresh daily, right there in the cheese department! Stop by and let their knowledgeable staff help you pick out that perfect cheese for your next part!
Fresh Roasted Coffee
Mazzarro’s prides themselves on their delicious coffee, which they brag is some of the finest in Tampa Bay. They offer a variety of styles: Colombian, Mexican, Ethiopian, and their own Mazzarro’s blend.
They also offer a coffee bar, serving coffee, espressos, and lattes. Relax at a table and sip a delicious cuppa with your favorite book or newspaper. If you like coffee, it’s a must!
Wine & Beer
The market’s wine cellar is home to Florida’s largest collection of Italian wines. As with their cheese department, they have knowledgeable staff on hand to help you pick out the perfect wine for that next dinner party or social gathering. You can attend their wine gatherings on Fridays from 1 – 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Mazzarro’s is in the process of expanding their beer selection, which focuses on imported and craft brews. Enjoy a beer on the patio with you sandwich on a warm, sun-drenched Florida day.
Mazzarro’s offers a huge selection of the world’s finest specialty items, such as truffles, sea salt, exotic spices, peppers, crackers, and olive oils and vinegars (more than 300 in stock!)
(If you’re visiting the area, consider grabbing a fine wine, crackers, and some small-batch cheese to take back to your suite. Have a delicious snack from the comfort and privacy of your own room.)
As extensive as this list is, it doesn’t even touch on Mazzarro’s top-quality butchershop, its freshly-caught seafood, or its gargantuan selection of pastas (including freshly-made angel hair, fettucini, linguini, ravioli, and manicotti).
So, if you’re heading this way, be sure to stop by Mazzarro’s for a delicious meal (or two!). Enjoy fresh entrees, fresh dessert, fresh coffee, high-quality wines and beers, and much, much more!
