Adventures on the Boardwalk

Deep Sea Fishing: The boardwalk is home to deep sea fishing charter companies.  Sign up for a half-day (or longer) trip into the beautiful green waters with your friends and family, chasing some of Florida’s plentiful marine wildlife.

Fish from the shore: If the thought of heading out into deeper water makes your stomach churn (or if you just want something quick and easy), fish from the banks along the Boca Ciega Bay.  That also leaves more time to experience everything else the boardwalk has to offer!

Paddleboarding with the dolphins: There are paddleboard rentals on the boardwalk, and that makes it easy to get out on the Bay’s emerald green waters.  Dolphins love the area, and will often play in the vicinity of paddleboarders.

Go on a dolphin-watching tour: If you’re not feeling up for physical exertion, you can hop on a boat and go on a dolphin-watching tour.  Dolphins often frolic in the boats’ wakes, making for a fun and memorable experience.

Rent a jetski: Adrenaline junkies, take note!  You can go bombing around the beautiful green waters on a Waverunner.  It’s a great way to inject a little excitement into your afternoon.

Go parasailing: What better way to enjoy the beautiful scenery than from above?  Peer down into the translucent green water from way up!  Who knows what you’ll see?

Dining on the Boardwalk

If you get hungry, check out The Boardwalk Grill.  It’s not fancy (it’s the kind of place where your freshly-made food comes in a plastic basket), but it is absolutely delicious, and you can sit outside in the sunshine.

If you’re looking for suggestions ahead of time, guests absolutely rave about their lobster rolls and grouper tacos!  Landlubbers have plenty of tasty options, too, such as Philly cheese steaks, chicken tacos, and more.

To top if all off, the prices are phenomenal for the taste and quality of what you’re getting.

After Your Day Out

And after a fun day out on the boardwalk, return to your room at the Historic Peninsula Inn in beautiful Gulfport.  The inn features a variety of suites designed to suit the needs of a wide variety of travelers, from the solo businessperson, to the couple on a romantic getaway, to the family of four touring Old Florida.  We even welcome small dogs!
