The microbrewery scene exploded in the mid-2000s. Craft beer popped up in every corner of the United States – including the Tampa-St. Pete area. 3 Daughters Brewery, named after the founders’ three little girls, is one of the myriad companies who surged from brewing beer at home into a full-blown, successful microbrewery.
3 Daughters Brewing has a rather unique backstory: the founders, Mike and Ty Weaver, worked in a local restaurant. One day, they decided to beer-batter some fish with their own homebrews. The dish ended up a huge success, and people loved the beers they used in creating it. They decided to ride the wave of success and open a brewery.
Here in the St. Pete area, we’re glad they did! 3 Daughters offers a huge variety of delicious craft beers on tap, in cans, or in growlers. Visitors to local restaurants (including our own Isabelle’s!) will find local favorites, such as the Beach Blonde Ale, the Bimini Twist IPA, the Stern Line Stout, the Rod Bender Red Ale, and more. At the brewery, you can find more than a dozen beers on tap, including hefeweizens, porters, blondes, and a Double IPA.
As if all that delicious beer isn’t enough of a selling point, 3 Daughters also hosts a ton of fun events. On Friday and Saturday nights, stop by and enjoy live music. If all that dancing gets you hungry, you can check out one (or several) of the on-site food trucks.
If you’re interested in a quieter, more low-key evening socializing with friends (or you’re interested in making new friends), challenge them to a variety of games, such as Jenga, table-top shuffleboard, darts, Connect4, cornhole, checkers, or chess. Those there on weeknights can experience other fun events, such as Team Trivia Night and Yoga on Tap with The Body Electric Yoga Company. You can learn more about 3 Daughters’ events by visiting their Tasting Room and Events page.
In short, 3 Daughters is perfect for anyone seeking delicious beer, live music, great food trucks, and a slew of fun games. Don’t miss out on one of St. Pete’s best breweries! As mentioned earlier, The Historic Peninsula Inn’s very own Isabelle’s is proud to serve their beer.
Speaking of Isabelle’s, if you’ve never eaten at our delicious, award-winning restaurant (Rand McNally awarded us their prestigious “Best of the Beaches” and “Best of the Road” awards), stop by some evening for dinner. Isabelle’s offers New Southern cuisine in a comfortable, Old Florida setting. We host live music four days per week (pianist John Shirley on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and Dale Williams singing Sinatra and other favorites on Saturday nights), which elevates the already-pleasant ambiance. Don’t miss out on a great meal in a beautiful inn!
After dinner (or a night out at 3 Daughters Brewery), return to your comfortable suite at the Historic Peninsula Inn. The Inn offers a variety of different suites suited for business travelers, honeymooning couples, or even a family of four exploring our beloved Old Florida. It’s a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful town (Gulfport). We hope you’ll join us!
