Aftermath of Hurricane Irma

Our sympathies go out to our fellow Floridians and Texans that felt the effects of the last hurricanes and the victims of all the neighboring countries that did not fare well in this extreme weather.

For Veronica, the owner, it has been difficult to watch her friends all over the British and US Virgin Islands (her second home) as well as the other Caribbean have their homes and places of work demolished by this terrible storm.

The Historic Peninsula Inn received no damage from the storm. While we did lose power, like millions of Floridians, it was for a very brief period of time. We are happy to say that our power is now restored and the Historic Peninsula Inn is open for business!

We still have  a couple of rooms available if you are still without power.

Isabelle’s restaurant will also be open starting today, Wednesday, Sept, 13th! We have cool veranda seating and inside seating with AC.  There is  cold beer, ice for your drinks and plenty of to charge your cellphones.   We also have wifi so you can access the internet.

Gulfport did remarkably well through the storm with minimal damage, mainly vegetation.  Once we all have our electricity back, we know Gulfport will be back to normal!
