3 Fun Things to Do in St. Petersburg FL This Weekend
- This Friday, March 31, head down to the Morean Arts Center with your special someone and take part in the Hot Date in the Hot Shop. You and your date will learn the basics of glassblowing, and then collaborate together to create your very own one-of-a-kind masterpiece. The pieces must cool overnight, but they can either be picked up or shipped to your home. This fun and unique event is $125 per couple, and the classes are limited to 5 couples. If you’re coming at a later date, keep your eyes on the Morean’s website for future Hot Date in the Hot Shops.
- On Saturday, head down to the monthly Crafty Fest Market at ARTpool Gallery, featuring indie art and a variety of vintage and handmade goods. It’s a popular place for folks who live to buy and sell on websites like Etsy. The market runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Don’t miss out!
- Sundays are a great day to relax and stroll through St. Petersburg’s Sunken Gardens. This Sunday, the Sunken Gardens host their annual Orchid Festival. Visitors can browse a huge selection (thousands!) of blooms, and even learn all about orchids from the growers in attendance. The gardens are over a century old, and are located right in the heart of St. Pete. The Orchid Festival is a great way to spend a relaxing Sunday! If you can’t make it this weekend, keep an eye on the Sunken Gardens’ website for more amazing events!
